Party friendly rocker Andrew W.K. has dubbed his sophomore Island album "The Wolf." The new set will arrive on Sept. 9 in North America and a day earlier internationally. The set finds W.K.'s zest for a good time at a higher peak than ever, boasting such song titles as "Long Live the Party," "Tear It Up," "Totally Stupid" and closer "I Love Music."
A CD/DVD single for "Tear It Up" featuring album cut "Your Rules," live footage and W.K.'s music videos will be released July 15. A preview is available on the artist's official Web site.
"For months I was working with a lot of different album titles," W.K. writes on his site. "I would stick with one, and then I would change it to something else. I had a list of 200 different album title names by the end of it. And then just when I was running out of time, I thought that 'THE WOLF' was perfect. And that's that!"
"The Wolf" is the follow-up to W.K.'s 2002 debut, "I Get Wet," which hit No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and No. 84 on The Billboard 200. The artist is currently rocking out on the Vans Warped Tour, which today (June 27) rolls into the Verizon Wireless Music Center just outside Indianapolis.
Here is the tracklist for "The Wolf":
"Victory Strikes Again"
"Long Live the Party"
