Mandy Moore has signed on as the host of the fourth annual "Women Rock!" benefit for breast cancer research. Moore will also perform at the benefit alongside Celine Dion, Anastacia, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Mya, Dolly Parton and Kenny Loggins. The event will tape Sept. 30 at Hollywood's Kodak Theater and air Oct. 23 on the Lifetime cable channel.

This year's benefit is themed "Songs From the Movies," and will feature the performers' takes on theme songs from major motion pictures. Loggins, the series' first male headliner, was chosen because of his familiarity with the theme, having written a number of hits for film soundtracks.

"Women Rock!" is part of Lifetime's ongoing public awareness campaign, Our Lifetime Commitment: Stop Breast Cancer for Life. The event will benefit the National Breast Cancer Coalition, the National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations, Breast Cancer Action, Nueva Vida, SHARE, Sisters Network, Inc., Y-Me and the Young Survival Coalition.

Last year's event featured Gloria Estefan, Michelle Branch, Chaka Khan and the Pretenders, among others. For more information, visit the Lifetime Web site.
