Guided By Voices has finalized the track list for the five-disc boxed set "Hardcore UFOs: Revelations, Epiphanies and Fast Food in the Western Hemisphere."

Guided By Voices has finalized the track list for the five-disc boxed set "Hardcore UFOs: Revelations, Epiphanies and Fast Food in the Western Hemisphere." As previously reported, the collection is due Nov. 4 via Matador. Twenty-five copies of the group's new album, "Earthquake Glue," were bundled with a "golden ticket" entitling the purchaser to a free copy of "Hardcore UFOs."

Disc one of the set, "Human Amusements at Hourly Rates: The Best of Guided By Voices," was compiled by GBV frontman Robert Pollard. The 32-track disc will also be sold separately with a different sequence than its boxed set edition. Beyond such vintage Matador favorites as "Motor Away," "Cut-Out Witch" and "Watch Me Jumpstart," the best-of also features cuts from GBV's two-album tenures on Scat Records ("Hot Freaks," "Shocker in Gloomtown" and "I am a Scientist") and TVT ("Things I Will Keep," "Glad Girls" and "Chasing Heather Crazy").

The odds-and-ends disc "Demons and Painkillers" collects 35 cuts from a variety of sources, such as B-sides, bonus and compilation tracks and out-of-print singles. Highlights include "Choking Tara (Creamy Version)," featured on Matador's 10th anniversary compilation "Everything Is Nice," as well as "Delayed Reaction Brats" from a split CD with Superchunk and several tracks from the "Plantations of Pale Pink" EP.

Twenty-three unreleased songs make up "Delicious Pie & Thank You for Calling," including the live staple "Back to Saturn X," "You're the Special," "7 Strokes to Heaven's Edge" and "It Is Divine."

GBV's notoriously anything-goes live shows are the focus of "Live at the Wheelchair Races," featuring 32 concert selections spanning 1995-2002. Alongside such obscurities as "Melted Pat," "Johnny Appleseed" and "Trap Soul Door" rest more familiar cuts like "Over the Neptune/Mesh Gear Fox," "Everywhere With Helicopter" and "Tractor Rape Chain." The disc is culled from concerts recorded at Chicago's Metro, Athens, Ga.'s 40 Watt Club and Carrboro, N.C.'s Cat's Cradle.

The set's fifth disc is the first-ever CD pressing of GBV's 1986 debut EP, "Forever Since Breakfast." Rounding out "Hardcore UFOs" is a DVD of the 1998 documentary "Watch Me Jumpstart," bolstered with additional live footage and seven of the band's music videos.

Guided By Voices plays Berlin tonight (Sept. 17).
