Modern rock act A Perfect Circle will kick off a fall tour with a Halloween show (Oct. 31) in San Antonio, Texas. So far 11 dates have been confirmed, in addition to a Nov. 2 stop at the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans. The news comes in conjunction with the release of "Thirteenth Step," the band's sophomore album, issued yesterday (Sept. 16) via Virgin.

Tonight, the band kicks off a brief European tour with a show in Manchester, England. Beginning Friday, the Deftones will join the bill, which will be on the road there through a Sept. 30 show in Dusseldorf.

Confirmed U.S. tour dates are concentrated in the Southeast; additional stops are expected.

Along with vocalist Maynard James Keenan, guitarist Billy Howerdel and drummer Josh Freese, the lineup of A Perfect Circle now includes former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha and bassist Jeordie White -- formerly known as Twiggy Ramirez of Marilyn Manson's band. The group headlined a two-week summer trek and played a handful of dates on the Lollapalooza tour.

"Weak and Powerless," the new album's first single, is in the top-10 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks and Mainstream Rock Track charts.

"Thirteenth Step" is the follow-up to 2000's "Mer de Noms," which debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 and has sold more than 1.4 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
