Foo Fighters have a big announcement to share. Could Dave Grohl be about to unveil a solo venture? Are the Foos calling it a day? Or perhaps they’re lining up for Glastonbury Festival?

We’ll all have to wait and see, but the wait shouldn’t be unbearable. A tweet sent from the band's account earlier today reads: “Official band announcement tomorrow night. Stay tuned.”

The Foos are currently having a break after a busy 2015 and many observers will predict Grohl is about to announce a solo outing. There’s two solid reasons to jump to such a conclusion. First, anyone who caught Grohl's solo performance of the Beatles "Blackbird" for the Oscars’ “In Memoriam” segment on Sunday would have noticed he was in his element. And second, Page Six has reported his Oscars performance was “his big entrance into his solo career.”

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins suggested the group was on an extended hiatus when he recently told Billboard they had “nothing on the books” and that he has a busy year sketched out for himself, starting with his cover band, Chevy Metal.

Still, optimistic fans will point out Glastonbury Festival organizers have yet to name a Saturday night headliner for this June's event (Muse will play Friday and Coldplay on Sunday). The Foos owe one to Glastonbury. The band pulled out of a high-profile headline slot at last year’s fest after Grohl broke his leg at a show in Sweden (Florence + the Machine stepped in as a last minute replacement).
