Watch Kevin Hart 'Die' in The Rock's Arms During MTV Movie Awards Live Stream

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kevin Hart, the newly announced hosts of this year’s MTV Movie Awards, just gave everyone a glimpse of their on-camera chemistry during an ambitious live-streaming barrage on Facebook Live, YouTube, Periscope, Meerkat and YouNow.

The co-hosts, who are also co-stars in the upcoming action-comedy Central Intelligence, challenged viewers to write and submit mini-scripts via social media. In this behind-the-scenes footage, exclusively shared with Billboard, the duo hilariously acts out a submission: "Dwayne, Kevin Hart is dying in your arms, tell him not to go dying on you,” requested one Instagram user.

The live streams attracted 4 million combined views with 2 million people tuning in live, breaking MTV’s records on Facebook Live, Periscope and YouNow. Certain segments will be used for Movie Awards’ advertisements that will appear on television, online and on social media.

Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson to Host 2016 MTV Movie Awards

Similar to the crowd-sourced green-screen promos for last year’s Video Music Awards, participants who submitted scenes for Johnson and Hart to act out will see their social media handles and names emblazoned on the finished products.

The MTV Movie Awards, which celebrates its 25th anniversary during the April 9 outdoor taping, will air the following day on April 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
