The lineup for the 2004 Big Day Out festival tour of Australia and New Zealand will feature the Strokes, A Perfect Circle, the Flaming Lips, the Dandy Warhols and the Mars Volta alongside previously announced performer Metallica. The event kicks off Jan. 16 in Auckland and wraps Feb. 1 in Perth, Australia.
Also on hand will be some of the top electronic and dance acts in the world, including Basement Jaxx and Peaches, as well as an unusual collaborative performance from Aphex Twin and Luke Vibert. Rap outfit Black Eyed Peas rounds out the international contingent of the lineup.
As usual, Big Day Out will include some of Australia and New Zealand's biggest acts, such as the Datsuns, Jet, Gerling, the D4 and the Hoodoo Gurus. For more information, visit the event's official Web site.
Last year's Big Day Out featured Jane's Addiction, Underworld, Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters, Queens Of The Stone Age, Wilco and PJ Harvey, among others.
