With five nominations, Justin Timberlake is the leading contender for the 10th annual MTV Europe Music Awards, which will be presented Nov. 6 in Edinburgh. The Jive artist is up for best album ("Justified"), best male, best pop, best new act and best song ("Cry Me a River"). Christina Aguilera, who will host the awards show, received four nods, as did the White Stripes.

RCA's Aguilera is nominated for best album ("Stripped"), female, pop and song ("Beautiful"). V2's White Stripes are up for best album ("Elephant"), group, rock and video ("Seven Nation Army").

Robbie Williams, Evanescence, Sean Paul and 50 Cent received three nominations each. Among the confirmed performers are Kylie Minogue and Beyonce Knowles. Winners in most categories are selected by MTV Europe viewers through voting at the network's localized Web sites.

Eminem dominated last year's event, taking home best album for his Shady/Interscope set "The Eminem Show," the best hip-hop artist award and best male artist.
