Masketta Fall, Aussie Pop-Rock Newcomers, Share 'Love Me Like That': Video Premiere
Move over 5 Seconds of Summer, there’s another Aussie pop-rock band on the rise.
Masketta Fall – a four-piece comprising Melbourne schoolmates Braden (vocals), Ben (guitar, vocals), Moli (guitar, vocals), Jamie (drums) -- is quietly building a healthy online following and earning kudos for their lively live shows, which have included dates alongside the likes of Demi Lovato, American Authors and The Vamps.
The group's online story thus far has been pushed forward through a mix of pop covers (Justin Bieber, Lovato) and originals ("Do You Wanna Dance," "Big Dog" and "Summertime Girls") and a laugh-along acoustic mashup of One Direction and Bieber which has giggled its way past 3 million hits.
Billboard today exclusively premieres the video for Masketta Fall’s summery new track "Love Me Like That" (well, it is scorching hot Down Under right now!).
“We wanted to write a super fun and upbeat track for a while,” explains Moli. “Before going into the session to write ‘Love Me Like That’, we all knew exactly what we wanted before even tracking the first idea for the song. After a day or two of writing and building up the track we all knew we were onto something special and this was the song we were after. Infatuation, desire, lust, and knowing you'd do anything to have someone 'Love Me Like That.”
Written and recorded with producer Mike DeLorenzis and released through Island Records Australia, "Love Me Like That" is the follow-up to the 2015's "Summertime Girls". Watch the new clip below.
