As R&B star Luther Vandross continues to recover from a debilitating April stroke, J Records this week releases "Live at Radio City Music Hall 2003," chronicling a Feb. 14 performance at the legendary New York venue. The concert found Vandross performing his biggest hits, including "Here and Now," "I'd Rather," "Never Too Much," "Stop To Love" and "Superstar."
Vandross' longtime musical director Nat Adderley, Jr., produced the album. "All of us involved are doing our best to make Luther proud of his first live album," he says. "It hasn't been easy on many levels to do it without him. Nevertheless I have to say that everyone is really going to love this album and that it is turning out amazing. It sounds like Luther is right there in the room, a real wow and a must have for anyone who loves him."
Vandross' latest J studio album, "Dance With My Father," debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 1.2 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
