Andy Samberg Cracks Joke About 'Cosby's Full Confession' During Golden Globes
It wouldn't be an awards show without a Bill Cosby joke, and for the 73rd Annual Golden Globes, Andy Samberg stepped up to the plate and delivered an A+ one while presenting for best actress -- television series musical or comedy (it went to Rachel Bloom, the dark horse nominee who more than deserved it).
Taking the stage during the show's first half hour, Samberg joked, "This is it -- the final award of the night," and went on to describe a fictional series of events that happened during his dream-version of the 2016 Golden Globes. "It's been another classic Globes full of memorable moments," he said. "Tom Hanks barfed. Rob Lowe fell of a balcony right during the middle of Cosby's surprise appearance and full confession."
Obviously, that didn't happen, but it was a fitting joke -- Samberg plays a cop on TV, and Cosby might end up facing some in the future.
