Nashville-based collective Lambchop has readied two separate full-length albums for release in February. "Aw Cmon" and "No You Cmon" will be released on Merge Records and will feature 24 new compositions between them, according to the band's official Web site.

"These records bear only a passing resemblance to anything which has gone before," claims a post on the site, saying they are closest in spirit to 2000's "Nixon," the band's commercial breakthrough. The discs are the follow-up to last year's "Is a Woman."

The Kurt Wagner-led band numbers 14 musicians on the new discs, with three additional contributing players. Both albums also feature strings arranged by Lloyd Barry and played by the Nashville String Machine.

Songs slated for the discs include "Each Time I Bring It Up It Seems To Bring You Down," "I Hate Candy," "Women Help To Create the Kind of Men They Despise," "Shang a Dang Dang," "About My Lighter" and tunes named after actor Steve McQueen and Eagles principal Timothy B. Schmit.
