Barely a year after the release of her last album, Missy Elliott roars back this week with "This Is Not a Test," due via her Gold Mind label via Elektra. First single "Pass That Dutch," a nod to youthful U.K. reggae act Musical Youth's pot-inspired '80s favorite "Pass the Dutchie," is No. 21 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks.
Other guests on the album include Jay-Z, Monica, Fabolous, Elephant Man, and the Clark Sisters. Among those lending a hand behind the boards are Craig Brockman, Nisan Stewart, Soul Diggaz, and Elliott in tandem with longtime collaborator Timbaland.
The new album will be the follow-up to 2002's "Under Construction," which debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 3 on The Billboard 200. The set has sold more than 2 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. "Work It" peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Rap Tracks and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles and Tracks charts, as well as No. 2 on Billboard's Hot 100.
