As tipped here earlier this month, Linkin Park and P.O.D. have confirmed a 2004 North American tour, kicking off Jan. 16 in Washington, D.C. Thus far, 12 dates are set, but no venues have yet been announced. At least 20 other shows are on tap for the trek, which will also feature Hoobastank and Story Of The Year.

Pre-sale and meet-and-greet opportunities will be available to members of Linkin Park's LP Underground fan organization. More information can be found on the band's official Web site. Linkin Park just released a CD/DVD package, "Live in Texas" (Warner Bros.), which debuts this week at No. 23 on The Billboard 200.

P.O.D. will be out behind its new Atlantic set, "Payable on Death," which plummets 29-57 in its third week on The Billboard 200. As previously reported, Hoobastank will on Dec. 9 release its sophomore Island album, "The Reason," while Story Of The Year is touring in support of its Maverick debut, "Page Avenue."
