Rascal Flatts has slated its second headlining tour for early in the New Year. Sponsored by Coors Light, the trek will kick off Jan. 22 in Kalamazoo, Mich., with Brian McComas and Chris Cagle opening all of the shows.

The country act spent a good portion of 2004 on the road, including a headlining berth on the CMT Most Wanted Live Tour Featuring Rascal Flatts, which also included McComas and Cagle. "We have had an amazing year thanks to our fans," bassist Jay DeMarcus says. "We are so excited to get back out and entertain them again in 2004."

The roadwork comes in support of the late 2002 Lyric Street/Hollywood release "Melt." Rascal Flatts' sophomore album, the set debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart and No. 5 on The Billboard 200.

Following the tour's March 20 finale in Savannah, Ga., Rascal Flatts plans to head into the studio to begin work on a new album.
