Raven-Symoné was named co-host of “The View,” on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 on the ABC talk show.

Thousands of people have signed a petition seeking to fire Raven-Symoné as a co-host on ABC's The View.

In recent weeks, the former Cheetah Girl has weighed in on two sensitive issues involving race. First, Symoné said she wouldn't hire someone with a "ghetto" name. And a few weeks later she told viewers the reaction to an officer grabbing a high school student by the neck and tossing her on the floor was “ridiculous” and that there are “two wrongs here.”

"Raven Symoné has been spouting her ignorant and self-hating spiel on The View for long enough,” reads the petition on change.org, which is addressed to Barbara Walters. “African Americans and black people around the diaspora need a voice representative of their views.”

As of Saturday afternoon (Oct. 31), the petition had been signed by more than 118,500 people, NBC News reports.
