'B-Side' Myself

JakeTwo Warner Music Group acts have trolled through their vaults for B-sides/rarities collections due this week. Less Than Jake collected 12 tracks that didn't make the cut for its 2003 album "Anthem" for "B Is for B-Side," a limited pressing of which will be bundled with a band t-shirt.

"Anthem" marked a commercial breakthrough for the 12-year-old act, peaking at a career-best No. 45 on The Billboard 200 and selling 178,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Among the cuts recorded during those sessions but appearing on "B-Side" include "Bridge and Tunnel Authority," "National Anthem," "Goodbye in Gasoline" and "Portrait of a Cigarette Smoker."

Meanwhile, hard rock act Static-X is bringing forth "Beneath, Between, Beyond." It boasts 18 tracks drawn from soundtracks, compilations and tribute albums, plus demos and two previously unreleased tracks, "Breathe" and "Head."

Also featured are "Deliver Me" from 2003's "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" soundtrack, "Anything But This" from 2002's "Resident Evil" soundtrack, a cover of Black Sabbath's "Behind the Wall of Sleep" from 2000's "Nativity in Black" tribute album, a cover of Ministry's "Burning Inside" featuring Fear Factory's Burton Bell and "So Real" from the 2000 "Scream 3" soundtrack.
