New York-based female rap trio Northern State will release its sophomore album, "All City," Aug. 17 via Columbia. A video for first single "Girl for All Seasons" was recently shot at New York's Siberia club.

"We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your enthusiasm and willingness to sweat it out in a hot sticky basement with us for hours while we pretended to play the same song over and over again," group member Sprout writes on Northern State's official Web site. "I hope no one's big moment ends up on the cutting room floor."

"Girl for All Seasons" features the High & Mighty on "Think Twice," Martin Luther on "Siren Song" and Har Mar Superstar on closer "Summer Never Ends." Says group member Spero of the latter, "We wrote a kinda nostalgic summer jam with him that reminds me of swinging around on that swing ride at Adventureland on Long Island right over Route 110, one of L.I.'s main drags, which come to think of it, couldn't have been safe."

The upcoming album is the follow-up to the trio's independently issued 2002 debut "Dying in Stereo," which was re-released by Columbia in May 2003. Northern State recently completed a string of dates with the X-ecutioners and Wylde Bunch.
