Florence + the Machine, Grateful Dead, Hozier & More Team for 'Boob Spelled Backwards Is Boob'
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and some of the industry's biggest names are doing their part to contribute to the cause with a new charity single called "Boob Spelled Backwards Is Boob."
Featuring Florence + the Machine, Noel Gallagher, Hozier, Michael Franti, Vance Joy, Matt Nathanson, Spandau Ballet, Graham Nash (CSNY), the Grateful Dead, Bleachers, Elle King and more, the #BoobProject, as it has become known, was fostered by Mike “No Name” Nelson, a DJ at San Francisco's KFOG. Nelson, whose wife is currently battling breast cancer, asked artists visiting the station to contribute to the single. The song's lyrics were written by Nelson's eight-year-old son.
Listen to the finished song below, and visit the #BoobProject site to learn more about the station's fundraising efforts. The song is currently available on iTunes, with all proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
