LaBelle Plans Busy Summer And Fall

On Aug. 6, LaBelle will join the Commodores for "Glamourama" at the State Theatre in Minneapolis. Sponsored by Marshall Fields, the fashion event will raise funds for the Children's Cancer Research Fund. She'll also take part in a similar event Aug. 13 for the Art Institute of Chicago at the Chicago Theatre.
Other special appearances on her schedule include delivering the keynote speech at the St. Joseph Health Care Foundation's 14th annual Nancy Floyd Haworth Breast Cancer Lectureship Luncheon on Sept. 18 in Albuquerque and the Sept. 19 ribbon cutting ceremony at the National Museum in Baltimore. On Oct. 20, she'll be a featured guest during the Katarina Witt & Friends ice skating show at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, N.J.
In the midst of her concert dates and appearances, LaBelle will spend Aug. 30-Sept. 2 supporting her Patti Labelle Clothing label on the Home Shopping Network.
LaBelle's concert activity comes in support of her latest album, "Timeless Journey." Released in May by Def Soul Classics, the set features guest appearances by Carlos Santana, the Isley Brothers' Ron Isley and Floetry.
