Good fortunes continued for Busted and the Red Hot Chili Peppers on the U.K. charts, revealed yesterday (Aug. 8). Busted's "Thunderbirds"/"3AM" (Universal) remained on top of the singles survey for a second week, while the Chili Peppers' "Live in Hyde Park" tops the album chart, also for a second week.

Three new singles entered the top 10, all of them by female artists. American singer Anastacia, whose self-titled third Epic album has been certified double platinum in the U.K. and rebounds 7-4 on that chart this week, debuted at No. 4 with "Sick and Tired." Avril Lavigne's "My Happy Ending" (Arista) arrived at No. 5, while "We Are" by Sweden's Ana Johnsson came in at No. 8. The track is the lead U.K. single from the "Spider-Man 2" soundtrack.

On the album chart, a new Roy Orbison compilation, "The Platinum Collection" (EMI Virgin), debuted at No. 16, the late artist's 22nd British chart album over a span of 41 years. New at No. 25 was Kenny G's "Songbird -- The Ultimate Collection" (Arista), the saxophonist's first British chart entry since a "Greatest Hits" set reached No. 38 in late 1997.

"Live in Hyde Park" entered the European Top 100 Albums tally at No. 1, while O-Zone's "Dragostea Din Tei" (Media Services/Time/Vale) scored an eighth week at No. 1 on the Eurochart Hot 100 Singles tally.
