Rock quartet the Donnas will release their sophomore Atlantic album, "The Gold Medal," on Oct. 26, according to a label spokesperson. A video for first single "Fall Behind Me" will be shot Friday (Aug. 13) in Los Angeles. As previously reported, the set was produced by former Marvelous 3 frontman Butch Walker (Avril Lavigne, Sevendust).
Other tracks tipped for inclusion on the new set include "Revolver" and "Don't Break Me Down." "The Gold Medal" is the follow-up to 2002's "Spend the Night," which hit No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and has sold 390,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The group will likely unveil some of the new material at a series of upcoming club shows, beginning Aug. 17 in San Francisco. The group will also play Aug. 19 at Los Angeles' Echo Club and two days later at the city's Sunset Junction Festival, alongside the Like, Ben Kweller and On The Speakers.
From there, the Donnas head to the U.K. for the Aug. 27-28 Reading and Leeds Festivals.
