Queens Of The Stone Age were recently visited in the studio by Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson and the Distillers' Brody Dalle, girlfriend of QOTSA leader Josh Homme. The pair offered vocals on an as-yet-untitled cut earmarked for Queens' in-progress new studio album.

"It was so much fun," Manson wrote on Garbage's official Web site. "[Dalle] has a crazy voice. She can really sing and what's even cooler about her is that she has no f***ing idea just how good she is."

Manson was similarly enthused about the progress of the QOTSA album. "It's great," she said. "Really REALLY great. You'll love it. And how Josh Homme is not yet a household name is quite beyond me."

As previously reported, QOTSA were previously joined in the studio by ZZ Top guitarist Billy F. Gibbons. The album will be the group's first since the departure of bassist Nick Oliveri; Eleven principal Alain Johannes is believed to be playing bass on the sessions.
