Original guitarist Wes Borland has rejoined Limp Bizkit, according to frontman Fred Durst's online journal. "Well, now the Limp Bizkit fans know about Wes," he wrote Saturday. "Pretty dope." Photos of Borland playing with the other members of the group were posted earlier this week on Bizkit's official Web site.

A group spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment on the situation.

Borland stunned Durst when he left the band in October 2001. In May 2002, Durst tried to persuade Borland to return; fans were asked to write the guitarist via his personal E-mail address, which Durst posted on Limp Bizkit's Web site.

At the time, Borland seemed intent on pursuing his new group Eat The Day, but wound up dissolving the project after a nationwide search failed to yield a lead vocalist. Since then, he has recorded with the Crystal Method, former Concrete Blonde singer Johnette Napolitano and hard rock act Trust Company, among others.

Limp Bizkit is reportedly already writing songs with Borland for its next studio album. A greatest-hits set is being eyed for early next year.
