News on White Stripes, Ween, The Who

WhiteThe White Stripes will release their first live DVD, "Under Blackpool Lights," Oct. 26 via V2. The set was taped earlier this year in Blackpool, England, and features performances of such tracks as "Seven Nation Army," "The Hardest Button to Button" and "There's No Home for You Here."

The Stripes just wrapped a run of seven European festival dates and are not expected to perform for the rest of the year. However, group member Jack White will likely turn up on Beck's in-progress Geffen album, due this fall.

WeenWeen has lined up a seven-date tour of the West Coast, beginning Oct. 8 in Girdwood, Alaska, and wrapping Oct. 17 in San Diego. The group will be taking a break from work on its next studio album, which will be the follow-up to 2003's "Quebec" (Sanctuary). That set reached a career-best No. 50 on The Billboard 200 and has sold nearly 69,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

WhoAuthorized double-disc sets from the Who's complete 2004 tour will be bundled in a limited run of 150 deluxe road cases by online retailer In all, 19 shows can be found in the set, which retails for around $820.

Also included is a card autographed by Who members Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey and a mini tour program. At deadline, less than 40 copies remained of the collection, which begins shipping Sept. 20.

In other news, Sanctuary is prepping a double-disc anthology of solo live and studio recordings from late Who bassist John Entwistle for a fall release. Among the cuts featured are "My Wife," "Heaven and Hell," "Boris the Spider," "Space Pirates" and "Made in Japan."
