News on Santana/Los Lonely Boys, Trapt, Phair

BoysOn the heels of a two-song performance earlier this week at the Latin Grammys in Los Angeles, Carlos Santana and Los Lonely Boys will hit the studio next week to record a version of the latter group's previously unreleased track, "I Don't Want To Lose Your Love." The cut will be included on Santana's next BMG album, due next year.

Los Lonely Boys' tour in support of its self-titled Or Music/Epic album rolls into Milwaukee tonight (Sept. 3) and will continue through a Nov. 20 stop in Minneapolis. As previously reported, the DVD "Texican Style: Live in Austin" will arrive Sept. 14.

TraptModern rock act Trapt will reissue its 2002 self-titled Warner Bros. debut on Oct. 19 in DualDisc CD/DVD format. The set sports 5.1 Surround Sound and Advances Resolution stereo mixes, videos for "Headstrong," "Still Frame" and "Echo," plus live clips of "Made of Glass," "Stories," "Headstrong" and "Echo."

Other extra features include a photo gallery, lyrics and two bonus audio tracks: the B-side "Promise" and "Lost in a Portrait," previously featured in Wind-Up's "The Punisher" soundtrack. "Trapt" has sold 1.4 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

While working on its sophomore album, Trapt will take time out for a Sept. 18 performance at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson.

LizLiz Phair will perform an Oct. 24 San Francisco concert for participants in the Nike 26.2 Marathon and Half Marathon for women. The inaugural event will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and all runners will receive a Tiffany & Co. necklace at the finish line.
