Sean "P. Diddy" Combs is returning to his reality show "Making the Band 2" on MTV.

Sean "P. Diddy" Combs is returning to his reality show "Making the Band 2" on MTV. In the new season, Combs is aiming to assemble an all-female R&B/hip-hop group. Auditions will begin next month in New York, with the new season expected to premiere sometime next year.

The first two seasons of "Making the Band 2" documented the formation of Da Band, which Combs abruptly disbanded last year. His Bad Boy label released Da Band's 2003 debut album, "Too Hot for TV," which has sold 569,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Combs previously reared the all-female group Dream, which scored a No. 2 Billboard Hot 100 hit in late 2000 with "He Loves Me Not."

The original "Making the Band" series, which aired on ABC and MTV from 2000 to 2002, starred O-Town, which released two albums on J Records before splitting last year.
