Indie Acts Rock For 'Take Action' CD

Taking Back Sunday, Ted Leo/Pharmacists, NOFX, Coheed & Cambria and Mastodon are among the acts contributing songs to the compilation "Take Action! Volume 4."

Taking Back Sunday, Ted Leo/Pharmacists, NOFX, Coheed & Cambria and Mastodon are among the acts contributing songs to the compilation "Take Action! Volume 4." Due Oct. 5 via Sub City Records, the double-disc, 41-track set will benefit the suicide prevention organization National Hopeline Network.

Other artists donating rare cuts and album tracks are Against Me, Pedro The Lion, the Dillinger Escape Plan, Now It's Overhead, Detachment Kit and the Lot Six. The set opens with a public service announcement from Andrew W.K.

Sub City will intersect with two shows each on Taking Back Sunday and Yellowcard's fall tours for "Take Action!" CD release parties. Events will be held Oct. 12 in San Francisco and Oct. 13 in Fresno, Calif. (Taking Back Sunday), as well as Oct. 14 in Las Vegas and Oct. 15 in San Diego (Yellowcard).
