Keith Caulfield answers readers' questions about Emma Bunton, Toby Keith and more.

I've sent questions before and I've never gotten you to publish them online, but I know you must get thousands of them so I just really thank you for all the info.

I heard that Emma Bunton is going to promote her new album "Free Me" in the United States. I know it has had a lot of success in Europe and South America. Do you know if there is any release date set yet? Or do you know if this is true at all?

I bought her album, like everyone that hears it goes and buys it, but the import price is like $30. So I'd really like to know because [if it's coming out here] I believe it has a good chance of selling well in the U.S.

Thank you much,

Hello Carlos,

Emma Bunton is indeed in the United States promoting her single "Free Me." The track is at No. 35 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Club Play chart.

Earlier this week, she participated in a panel discussion at the 2004 Billboard Dance Music Summit in New York. The panel, "On Your Knees: Hero Worship," also included such artists as Martha Wash, Ultra Nate and DJ Rap.

A release date for Bunton's album has not been announced, although it is believed to be tentatively scheduled for January 2005. She is signed with 19 Records, who also issued Tamyra Gray's album earlier this year.

Do you have a release date for Toby Keith's new CD "Greatest Hits 2?" His new single "Stays in Mexico" has been playing on the radio for a while now but I can't find any info on the new CD anywhere!

Hi Rose,

Toby Keith's "Greatest Hits 2" is due out Nov. 9 on DreamWorks. The set's first single, "Stays In Mexico," is at No. 9 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.

"Greatest Hits 2" will cover his career with DreamWorks, which began in 1999. Since then he's racked up 11 No. 1 singles on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart including "How Do You Like Me Now?!," "I Wanna Talk About Me," "Who's Your Daddy," "I Love This Bar" and "Beer For My Horses" (with Willie Nelson).

Keith is currently on tour, and will next be seen at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati on Sept. 23.

Keith's last album, "Shock'n Y'all," debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums tally in 2003 and has sold 3.7 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Hi Keith,

Do you happen to know the cumulative sales figures for Nick Lachey, Justin Guarini and JC Chasez? I was having a debate with a friend regarding how each of these young men sold with their solo releases, but we haven't been able to dig up the to-date sales figures anywhere.

Hi Annmarie,

I can only imagine what this debate must have been like. Frankly, none of the three singers you are asking about have had very much success as solo acts. Obviously, as part of 98 Degrees, Nick Lachey has sold many albums; and with *NSYNC, JC Chasez has sold many millions.

Regardless, here are the numbers for Lachey, Guarini and Chasez:

Nicky Lachey, "SoulO" - 158,000
Justin Guarini, "Justin Guarini" - 142,000
JC Chasez, "Schizophrenic" - 113,000
