Brooks & Dunn have recorded three new songs for their second best-of compilation, "The Greatest Hits Collection II." Due Oct. 19 via Arista Nashville, the set will feature 17 tracks, including the country duo's latest single, "That's What It's All About."
On Billboard's Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, the track makes an 11-9 move this week. It was produced by Kix Brooks, Ronnie Dunn and Mark Wright, as were the other two new cuts, "It's Getting Better All the Time" and "South of Santa Fe."
The set also includes such highlights as Brooks & Dunn's 1998 duet with Reba McEntire, "If You See Him (If You See Her)," as well as the No. 1 Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart hits "How Long Gone," "Ain't Nothing 'Bout You" and "Red Dirt Road."
Brooks & Dunn are out on the road in support of their latest album, last year's "Red Dirt Road," which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and has sold 984,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The group next plays Puyallup, Wash., tonight (Sept. 23), and has dates scheduled through an Oct. 24 show in Atlanta.
The duo will also host and perform during the 38th annual Country Music Association Awards, set for Nov. 9 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville and a live CBS broadcast. They are among the nominees for the entertainer of the year honor.
