Diana Ross will launch a two-week tour with a Nov. 5-6 stand in Atlantic City, N.J. The 11-date run will visit 10 intimate venues through its Nov. 21 conclusion in Minneapolis. Tickets are already on sale for most of the shows via Ticketmaster.
The veteran R&B artist's name most recently appeared on a career spanning Diana Ross and the Supremes collection, "The No. 1s," released in February by Motown. The set debuted at No. 63 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 72 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 123,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Over the summer, Ross performed a benefit show in Greenwich, Conn., to raise funds for a teen center where her sons volunteer.
In the past two years, however, Ross has most frequently appeared in the news regarding a late 2002 Arizona drunken driving conviction that landed her a 48-hour jail sentence. She served the time in a facility in Greenwich, where she has a home.
