ALL AROUND THE 'LOEB'

Keith,

I have become interested in Lisa Loeb upon hearing her most recent CD, "The Way It Really Is." However, if it made the album charts, I absolutely didn't notice. Can you please tell me where her albums have charted and their total sales? I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Rudy

Hi Rudy,

Lisa Loeb's latest album, "The Way It Really Is," failed to dent any of Billboard's charts. Her last set to reach Billboard's album listings was "Cake and Pie," which debuted and peaked at No. 199 on The Billboard 200 in March 2002.

To date, "The Way It Really Is" has sold 9,000 units, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Loeb is currently on tour, and will next play Cafe du Nord in San Francisco tomorrow (Nov. 11).

Here is a list of Loeb's previous albums, along with their sales-to-date and peaks on The Billboard 200: "Tails" (712,000 units, No. 30), "Firecracker" (494,000 units, No. 88), "Cake and Pie" (44,000 units, No. 199), "Hello Lisa" (19,000 units, did not chart) and the Barnes & Noble exclusive title "Catch the Moon" (9,000 units, did not chart).

Loeb has three albums that are not registered with Nielsen SoundScan, thus we have no unit figures for them: "Purple Tape," "Days Were Different" and "Liz and Lisa." Those three sets never charted on The Billboard 200 either.

FIG 'NEWTON'

Hi Keith,

Olivia Newton-John just released a stunning new album called "Indigo -- Women of Song" in Australia and I was wondering if you have heard of any plans for it to be released in the United States?

Thanks,
Bill Morgan
Keizer, Ore.

Hello Bill,

At present, there no plans have been announced regarding an American release for "Indigo." While Newton-John is currently touring the U.S., she has nothing on the release schedule here.

"Indigo" features Newton-John's covers of such tunes as "Send in the Clowns" (made famous by both Barbra Streisand and Judy Collins), "Loving You" by Minnie Riperton and "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" by Joan Baez.

Newton-John's tour will hit New Brunswick, N.J., tonight (Nov. 10) and Albany, N.Y., on Friday.

SWEDISH FISH

Keith,

Could you tell me if the Agnetha Faltskog album "My Colouring Book" will be released in the United States? Also, how many copies have ABBA's "Gold -- Greatest Hits" and "More Gold -- More ABBA Hits" sold?

John Boylan

Hi John,

Agnetha Faltskog's "My Colouring Book" debuted at No. 12 in the U.K. earlier this year, while the set's lead single, "If I Thought You'd Ever Change Your Mind," reached No. 11 on the U.K. singles chart. No plans have been revealed regarding a potential North American release.

Thus far, ABBA's "Gold -- Greatest Hits" and "More Gold -- More ABBA Hits" have sold 3.7 million units and 115,000 units, respectively.
