Sting and Bryan Adams have composed original songs for the soundtrack to "Racing Stripes," due Jan. 11 via Varese Sarabande. Sting's "Inside Rail" and Adams' "It Ain't Over Yet" will be augmented by score from veteran composer Mark Isham, who has previously scored the films "Afterglow," "Fly Away Home" and "The Cooler," among others.

"Racing Stripes" blends live action and computer animation in a tale that centers around a baby zebra named Stripes, voiced by "Malcolm in the Middle" star Frankie Muniz. Abandoned by a traveling circus, Stripes is adopted by a Kentucky family and grows up on their farm. All the while, he dreams of becoming a championship race horse, despite his true place in the animal kingdom.

In addition to the voices of artists such as Snoop Dogg and Mandy Moore, "Racing Stripes" boasts the vocal talents of Dustin Hoffman, David Spade and Whoopi Goldberg, among others. The film opens Jan. 14 in U.S. theaters.
