Kelly Clarkson Was Joking About People Turning Her Down, John Legend Duet Coming Soon
Humor can sometimes get lost in translation during interviews.
Case in point: Kelly Clarkson is not a music industry pariah that other singers avoid like the plague. In fact, she has a collaboration with Oscar winner John Legend dropping tomorrow (Feb. 25).
The "Heartbeat Song" singer tweeted she was "joking" when she made comments to BBC Radio 1 about other A-list singers turning her down.
For reference, here's what she told BBC: "I honestly would collaborate with a lot of people, but everyone usually says no. I'm not kidding you. I have legitimately asked several people that I'm not going to call out, and that's cool, but I don't know."
In contrast, here's what Clarkson had to say Tuesday on Twitter:
Ok, I was making a joke about people not singing with me! The press is really twisting this comment just FYI! No big deal. New story please
