Coach Carter

'Coach' Pitch

TwistaThe forthcoming film "Coach Carter" will be brimming with new music from the cream of the R&B/hip-hop in-crowd, including Ciara, Fabolous, Chingy and Kanye West. The 14-track soundtrack is due this week via Capitol, while the Samuel L. Jackson-starring feature opens three days later in U.S. theaters.

The Twista track "Hope" featuring Faith Evans serves as the set's first single. Already pegged as the set's second single is Red Cafe's "All Night Long," which will receive a radio push later this month.

Other highlights include Ciara's "Roll Wit You," Fabolous' "No Need for Conversation" featuring Mike Shorey, Chingy's "Professional" featuring GIB and "Wouldn't You Like To Ride" by the triple threat of West, Malik Usef and Common.

The film is inspired by the true story of Richmond, Calif., high school basketball coach Ken Carter, who in 1999 benched his entire undefeated team for poor academic performance. The Paramount Pictures release also stars Robert Ri'Chard, Rob Brown, Debbi Morgan and Ashanti.
