Watch U.K. Punks Drenge Play a New Song & Get David Letterman Excited
The band will also appear on this week’s Alt In Our Stars podcast… check back on Friday (Jan. 30)!
Derbyshire, England's Drenge made their American television premiere last night, performing a brand new song on The Late Show With David Letterman.
Eoin and Rory Loveless just announced their new sophomore album -- due out in April -- is called Undertow. Off it, they played a brand new track called "Do What We Want" for the Late Show crowd.
You'll notice Letterman referred to them as a duo in the intro, only to reveal a three-piece on stage. That's because Drenge recently added a bassist (Rob Graham) to the mix, to give the guitar a little freedom, both live and on the new record.
Watch to the end to catch Dave and Paul Shaffer's spirited response.
Drenge were named best new band at 2014's NME Awards, so they're certainly worth paying attention to in the new year.
