Nine Inch Nails has unveiled the lineup for its 2005 tour, which will feature former Icarus Line guitarist Aaron North, A Perfect Circle bassist Jeordie White, drummer Jerome Dillon and keyboardist Alessandro Cortini. "I've been saying I've wanted this incarnation of the band to be a departure and now it truly is," Reznor wrote on NIN's official Web site.
The group will be touring in support of its upcoming album, "With Teeth," which finally has a confirmed release date of May 3 via Interscope. "When [North] walked through the door, he pissed on [former guitarist Robin Finck's] shoes and kicked them out the door where they belong, effectively closing a chapter," Reznor said. "A great chapter, but one that is in the past. This is a new entity that feels very fresh and vital. We are preparing to destroy you."
Reznor said the new band is "reworking a number of older tracks that still matter to us, while focusing on the new material. This band is capable of a lot, and I trust and respect everyone's musical ability."
So far the only confirmed dates are March 30-31 at London's Astoria. NIN is also strongly rumored to be appearing at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif., possibly headlining one evening.
