Franz Ferdinand, Keane, Eric Clapton, Robert Plant and Roger Daltrey are among the acts confirmed to perform at the annual Teenage Cancer Trust benefit, to be held April 4-8 at London's Royal Albert Hall. Proceeds will go toward building specialized treatment centers for child-age cancer sufferers.

Plant and as-yet-unannounced special guests will open the series, followed by Franz Ferdinand, former Blur guitarist Graham Coxon and Kaiser Chiefs on April 5. Peter Kay will host a night of comedy on April 6, while Keane and special guests will play the next night.

UB40 will be joined by Clapton, Daltrey and additional artists to be announced for the April 8 finale. Tickets went on sale today via Ticketmaster and the Royal Albert Hall box office.

In related news, Daltrey was named Commander of the Order of the British Empire earlier this week during a ceremony at Buckingham Palace. The Who frontman was recognized for his services to music and charity, particularly his long-standing support for Teenage Cancer Trust.
