With ears on both sides of the Atlantic piqued for her single "Avalon," Philadelphia-based artist Juliet is readying her debut solo album for a summer release. Due in August in the via Virgin, "Random Order" was conceived by the former 1 Plus 1 member with noted producer/remixer Jacques Lu Cont (aka Stuart Price), Guy Sigsworth and Mark "Spike" Stent.

Much of the 12-track electronic-pop album is laced with hypnotic beats similar to "Avalon." Juliet also showcases elements of rock on the edgier opener "AU" and singer/songwriter earnestness on closer "Pot of Gold."

Lu Cont, who won the best remixed recording, non-classical Grammy for his Thin White Duke Mix of No Doubt's cover of Talk Talk's "It's My Life," is among those who have remixed "Avalon" for club DJs. His and remixes by New York-based Low End Specialists and Virgin France/Astralwerks artist David Guetta can be sampled on Juliet's page on the Astralwerks site.

Stateside, the single is also garnering substantial nightclub spins, spurring a 20-11 jump on Billboard's Dance Music Club Play chart. Mix show airplay is also on the rise in Chicago, Boston, Seattle and Las Vegas, as well as on XM and Sirius satellite radio channels.

In England, "Avalon" has caught on with renowned DJ Pete Tong, who has been featuring the cut on his BBC Radio 1 show "The Essential Selection." A video for the track was recently shot in London's 103-year-old Greenwich Foot Tunnel, a 1,200-foot pedestrian tunnel under the River Thames.
