Veteran artists Joe Jackson and Todd Rundgren will launch a U.S. tour April 13 in Melbourne, Fla. The trek will take the pair across the country through a May 21 finale in Redwood City, Calif. The string quartet Ethel will open all shows.

Neither artist will be out behind any relatively new work. Rundgren's latest Sanctuary set, "Liars," will be more than a year old when the tour kicks off. Jackson, meanwhile, last issued "Volume 4," a reunion with his original band, in March 2003 via Rykodisc. It is unknown who will make up the backing bands for either artist.
