Medeski Martin & Wood, Les Claypool, Ryan Adams, Bruce Hornsby, Burning Spear, the North Mississippi Allstars and the Yonder Mountain String Band are among the first acts confirmed for fifth Jammy Awards. The event will be held April 26 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden and will be hosted by the Dead's Phil Lesh, who will also perform.

Keller Williams, Umphrey's McGree and Leftover Salmon's Vince Herman round out the bill, with additional artists to be confirmed in the coming weeks. Also yet to be announced is the winner of this year's Jammy Lifetime Achievement Award, which in 2004 was bestowed on Steve Winwood.

As previously reported, North Mississippi Allstars and Umphrey's McGee lead the 2005 Jammys field with three nominations each. Fans can vote for their favorites at Jammys.com.

Last year's ceremony was marked by the reunion of Black Crowes principals Chris and Rich Robinson, who performed the band's "Sometimes Salvation" with Gov't Mule.
