Rapper Master P and his brother pleaded not guilty yesterday (March 30) to a felony charge of carrying unregistered loaded guns. The 37-year-old artist, whose real name is Percy Robert Miller, was arrested Jan. 27 after police at the University of California, Los Angeles, stopped his leased car because it didn't' have license plates, authorities said.

An officer spotted a gun near the driver's seat and another was found under the front passenger seat, where Miller was sitting, according to a police report.

The Chrysler 300 was being driven by Miller's brother, Vyshonn King Miller, the 20-year-old rapper known as Silkk the Shocker. Both men remain free on $35,000 bail.

A third brother who records as C-Murder, Corey Miller, is appealing his second-degree murder conviction to Louisiana's Supreme Court. He was convicted of second-degree murder in 2003 for shooting a 16-year-old man to death at a nightclub in a New Orleans suburb. Earlier this month, a Louisiana state appeals court overturned a judge's decision to grant him a new trial.
