The duo will bring their 'Uptown Funk!' to tonight's 'Saturday Night Live.'

Mark Ronson has released three well-received albums, produced Amy Winehouse's instant-classic Back to Black album and has been named Producer of the Year three times at the Grammys, but he's still not a household name in the U.S.

That could all change with his upcoming album Uptown Special, due Jan. 27, which already has a ton of buzz thanks to the Prince-tastic lead single "Uptown Funk!" with Bruno Mars. The track entered the Hot 100 this week at No. 65, and it's poised to gain even more steam thanks to the music video released just this week.

The duo's performance on Saturday Night Live tonight also shouldn't hurt. Before the retro-cool writer/producer hits the SNL stage with Mars, check out our favorite of his "solo" hits -- that is, songs that appeared on Ronson's own albums but spotlight other artists. Many are inventive covers, including "Valerie" (originally by the Zutons), "Stop Me" (the Smiths' "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before") and "Oh My God" (Kaiser Chiefs). You'll be rewarded with the delightfully throwback video for "Uptown Funk!" at the end, hallelujah!
