Nicki Minaj Set For Second ‘Saturday Night Live’ Musical Guest Appearance
Nicki Minaj is returning to Saturday Night Live!
The rapper will serve as SNL’s musical guest on Dec. 6 with actor James Franco taking on hosting duties.
Minaj’s SNL booking arrives ahead of her third album, The Pinkprint, which is scheduled for release on Dec. 15.
She last appeared on the show in 2011 to promote her Pink Friday singles "Right Thru Me" and "Moment 4 Life.” Minaj also participated in a sketch for The Lonely Island’s "The Creep,” where she rapped about creeping on boys in the locker room, and another called "Bride of Blackenstein" skit, in which she was created as a bride for Keenan Thompson's Black Frankenstein character.
As previously reported, One Direction has been tapped as the musical guest for the SNL’s holiday episode on Dec. 20. Music producer Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, meanwhile, will appear on the show Nov. 22. The pair collaborated on "Uptown Funk," which is Ronson's first single from his forthcoming album.
