As the Telluride Bluegrass Festival pulls into its 32nd year, Rounder Records is commemorating the annual event's 30th anniversary with separate CD and DVD releases. The two discs feature many of the same acts that performed during the 2003 edition of the Colorado festival -- including Bela Fleck, Emmylou Harris, Nickel Creek, Sam Bush, the Waifs, Kasey Chambers and String Cheese Incident -- but have largely different track lists.

The 13-track CD opens with veteran homegrown bluegrass act Hot Rize performing "Nellie Kane," and includes such live performance highlights as the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Fishin' in the Dark," String Cheese Incident teaming with Martin Sexton on "I Wish" and Sam Bush and Friends' "Molly and Tenbrooks."

On the DVD, the Sam Bush Band's collaboration with Fleck and John Cowan on "Deeper and Deeper" opens the set. Other notable inclusions are the Jerry Douglas Band's run through "Pushed Too Far," Chambers' "Runaway Train," the Waifs' "When I Die" and Fleck and the Flecktones' "Imagine." The DVD also adds interviews with several artists, as well as fans and Telluride organizers.

As previously reported, this year's festival will be June 16-19 and will feature performances by Jewel, Wilco, Bobby McFerrin, Alison Krauss + Union Station, Stanley Clarke, Fleck and Jean-Luc Ponty, David Bromberg, Earl Scruggs, Leo Kottke and Mike Gordon, Gillian Welch, Sam Bush, Kathleen Edwards and the John Butler Trio.
