Country network CMT will celebrate the genre's long history of duets with a June 8 concert at Nashville's Gaylord Entertainment Center. Highlights will form the basis of the special "CMT 100 Greatest Duets," which will air in September.

Among those confirmed to take part are Kenny Rogers, Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry, Clint Black, Lisa Hartman Black, Lee Ann Womack, Joe Nichols, Shooter Jennings, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Crystal Gayle, Travis Tritt, Marty Stuart and Rebecca Lynn Howard, with the Mavericks' Raul Malo serving as musical director.

Meanwhile, the Academy of Country Music (ACM) has bolstered the lineup for its 40th anniversary concert, which, as previously reported, will be held May 18 at Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, one day after the annual ACM Awards at the same venue.

Newly confirmed for the show are performances by Alabama, Brooks & Dunn, Merle Haggard, Alan Jackson, Barbara Mandrell, Rascal Flatts and Trisha Yearwood. They join previously announced performers Kenny Chesney, Reba McEntire, Montgomery Gentry and George Strait for the event, which will air in December on CBS. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster and the venue's box office.
