These Cute Kids Covering Slayer & Metallica Are More Metal Than All of Us

Looks like Billboard 21 Under 21 metal protégées Unlocking the Truth have some competition. Brothers Subaru and Hayato are only seven and ten, respectively, and they’ve already got a way with a pummeling metal cover.

Check out the video below as they plow through Slayer’s “Raining Blood,” with Hayato mastering the double kick-drum and Subaru showing little mercy in matching Tom Araya’s growl, even if he seems a little transfixed with the mic stand. That’s their mom and dad playing the guitar and bass off-camera [h/t MetalSucks]

Then there’s their cover of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” which is interspersed with some home movie footage of the kids tossing a ball around in their backyard. Sinister.

If you liked those, you can dig into their YouTube archives, where you’ll find covers of Judas Priest, Testament, and Arch Enemy.
