Hilary Duff has the final word.

For fans of a certain age, the Hilary Duff/Aaron Carter love saga has been fascinating to watch.

The two dated as teens circa 2002, and earlier this year Carter started tweeting about how much he missed her, sharing his hopes for trying to win her back. (Duff separated from her husband earlier this year.)

So it wasn't too much of a surprise that when the actress/singer stopped by Watch What Happens Live Wednesday night, host Andy Cohen admitted a majority of viewer questions were asking her what the deal was with her relationship with Carter.

"Andy, I'm going to hurt you," a clearly-over-talking-about-it Duff joked. "I don't know what to say about it! It was so many years ago. I literally haven't seen him it's uncomfortable."

Fellow guest Giada De Laurentiis jumped in to try and catch up: "Did you date him? I'm obviously not in the loop!"

"Oh yes! When I was thirteen!" Duff replied. "He was very sweet…when I was thirteen."

Elsewhere in the appearance, Cohen asked her about a release date for her upcoming album, and Duff was vague. Cohen then asked her if that meant she would secretly drop it, a la Beyonce, and Duff played coy.

If it happens, you heard it on WWHL first: Hilary Duff may really be the next person to surprise-drop an album (albeit with pre-released singles).
