About a month after completing a European tour, Tori Amos will return to North America for a summer outing. Although it was expected she'd add a band for her Summer of Sin dates, Amos has decided to continue performing solo as she did on her spring Original Sinsuality run of theaters.

The summer run will open Aug. 8 in Atlanta and is set to close Sept. 17 in Los Angeles. Supporting Amos will be a fellow classically trained pianist, U.K. singer/songwriter Imogen Heap (who is also a member of Frou Frou) and pop/rock duo the Ditty Bops.

A total of 18 shows remain on Amos' European tour, which visits Paris tonight (June 13). That leg will close with a July 10 performance at a jazz festival in Istanbul.

Amos is touring in support of her latest Epic album, "The Beekeeper," which debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 227,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
