Taylor Swift Confirms She'll Perform at 2014 VMAs
The singer announced the news on 'The Tonight Show.'
Taylor Swift is heading back to the Video Music Awards. The crossover superstar confirmed Wednesday (Aug. 13) on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon that she'll perform at the 2014 VMAs -- airing Sunday, Aug. 24, at 9 p.m. ET -- marking her fourth time as a performer.
No word yet on what song she'll perform, though we might get a better idea after Swift's worldwide live stream on Monday, where she'll likely reveal details about her yet-untitled fifth album and a potential first single. If you're having trouble waiting until 5 p.m. ET on Aug. 18, check out the countdown clock here.
Swift first performed at the VMAs in 2009 -- also the year Kanye West infamously crashed the stage when she won Best Female Video over Beyoncé. She went on to perform in 2010 and 2012 as well. Swift has taken home two VMAs, both for Best Female Video: "You Belong With Me" in 2009 and "I Knew You Were Trouble" in 2013.
Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Usher, Maroon 5, Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj and 5 Seconds of Summer are also set to perform at the ceremony.
